Women's final four

All four number one seeds advance to the final four for only the second time in Women's college basketball history. All the stars of Women's college basketball are set to showcase what they have for everyone to see in Sunday's final four match ups. Uconn has advanced which is no surprise to anyone since they are always there. The only difference is Uconn doesn't have one clear star like they usually do. Bria Hartley and Tiffany Hayes are becoming big names for Uconn but their isn't a Maya Moore or a Diana Taurasi leading the way. Uconn is still looking for their clear cut leader but do they need one because this team is playing well together. They will be meeting Skylar Diggins and the Fighting Irish in Sunday's match up for the fourth time this season. Notre Dame beat Uconn twice during the season but Uconn beat them their last meeting for the Big East title. This will be an exciting game to watch. The target has been on Notre Dame's back all season since they went to the National Championship game last year. This year they are hoping to have a different outcome and win the Championship. They have to get past Uconn first and that is going to take everything they have to do it. As for the other final four match up we have Brittney Griner facing off against the Ogwumike sisters. If your going to watch a women's college basketball game this is definitely the one to watch. Here you have two of the best in Brittney Griner and Nnemkadi Ogwumike or as people call her Nneka. The Baylor Bears are undefeated this season because they are led by this 6'8" phenom Brittney Griner and she is only a junior. Stanford has made it to the final four for the fifth straight season. Are they going to be able to pull off the upset against Baylor and get to the National Championship? These two final four games are going to be exciting to watch. Can Baylor go undefeated the whole season? Griner has to be careful in this game and stay out of foul trouble because they will need her the whole game if they plan on stopping the Ogwumike sisters. If you want to see what the stars of Women's college basketball are made of you should watch these two final four games on Sunday. The girl's you have been hearing about all year have made it to the final four and all of them want the National Championship game. The question is who wants it more? All four of these coaches are outstanding. You have Geno Auriemma coaching Uconn whose resume speaks for itself. Muffet McGraw, the Fighting Irish head coach is no stranger to the big games and took her team to the National Championship game last year. Lets not forget she knows how to play and beat Auriemma. Then you have Kim Mulkey leading the undefeated Baylor Bears against Tara VanDerveer and the Stanford Cardinals, who have made the final four the last five years. All these coaches know what it takes to win big games and will find adjustments for the stars of the other teams. Expect close games that go down to the final second. Talk about excitement! Tune in on Sunday and see what these girls are made of and if they are worth all the publicity they get.

March Madness

I can write about March madness now because the team I picked to win the whole thing lost on Sunday to Kansas. North Carolina was playing without their point guard Kendall Marshall who got hurt against Creighton. I'm upset they lost but if the younger players do not leave for the NBA they will be real good next season. As for the final four I believe Kansas has a good chance to win the whole thing. Thomas Robinson is a real good player. Kansas has a lot of different elements to their game. Ohio State will keep the game close against Kansas but I think Kansas has an advantage because they don't rely on one player. Kentucky and Louisville will be an interesting game. Everyone likes Kentucky and says they are the best team but do not count out Rick Pitino. He has been coaching for years and knows what he is doing. Pitno knows how to win games. May the better coach win that game. This is going to be an exciting final four. Anyone can win these games so it will be fun to watch and see who wants it more. The tournament has been surprising with Duke loosing in the first round to Lehigh and Missouri loosing to Norfolk State. Two number two seeds going out in the first round of the tournament has never happened before. The West region had a four seed and a seven seed playing in the elite eight. I love March Madness because everyone is giving their all to survive another day. You are getting the best out of these players because everyone wants to win the Championship. The final four games will be very exciting and emotional. Anything can happen and with both teams giving everything they have you never know what to expect. Go Kansas! North Carolina will be back next year!

Tebow and sean payton

Tim Tebow is a Jet and everyone is excited about this. The only way this makes any sense is if they make him play another position besides quarterback because he can not throw the ball and will not last running the ball all the time. The NFL already tired to help Tebow with his throw but it did not last long because he went right back to the way he used to throw the ball in college. The Jets just extended Mark Sanchez's contract and are saying he is and will be their starting quarterback. Do you really think there won't be a competition during training camp for the starting quarterback position? Tebow is not the answer but I'm not sure Mark Sanchez is the answer either. Sanchez has not had great seasons with the Jets and still makes dumb mistakes. Besides Peyton Manning is in the AFC so the Broncos will be the top team and don't forget that Tom Brady and the Patriots are in the same division. New Orleans is all messed up everyone that is supposed to run the team is suspended. They lost their coach for a whole year. Would Sean Payton be suspended for a whole year if he would have just told the truth to begin with instead of trying to covering up? Sorry everyone should know by now the truth will always come out, you can not cover up anything. Giving people incentives to take out players on another team is wrong. Football is a rough sport to begin with and then you go and give more money to players for trying to hurt someone. Getting hit hard is a part of football; that's what football is and what makes it great. Bounty programs just make the sport look bad and take away from how great football is. The coaches got what they deserved on this one and there goes the Saint's season.

Peyton has found a home

Peyton Manning has made a decision. All the Manning talk and speculation is over. I believe he has chosen a place where he has the best chance of winning. The Denver Broncos are a hot team right now and have everything he needs to get to the super bowl. They might need to add or draft another receiving threat to compliment Eric Decker but this might be a perfect fit. He gets to play for John Elway and has John Fox as a coach. They have a dominate defense and if Willis McGahee stays healthy he can have a big year. Last season the Broncos went to the playoffs and beat Pittsburgh with Tim Tebow as their quarterback. Imagine the possibilities with Manning running the show. All the free agents are going to be lining up to be apart of this team now.  The only downfall is that he is leaving the comforts of a dome. He has been in a dome his entire professional career. He is not really used to huge climate changes. Denver is above sea level and they get significant amounts of snow come winter. Obviously Manning is not concerned with the weather and feels he can play any where because if weather was an issue he would have never picked Denver as his new home. Add Peyton Manning to any roster and that team becomes a main contender in the playoffs. I'm excited to see how this works out. Manning has played every game of his professional career and took a year off. I believe he is going to come back and have the best year of his career the AFC better watch out. Peyton Manning's back.

NFL free agency

The NFL is getting shaken up with all this free agency signing. We all know where Peyton Manning ends up is going to be the biggest headline of free agency but there are a lot of other changes going on. Mario Williams signed with Buffalo leaving the Texans with a hole to fill on their defense. The Texans were a solid team last year and probably would have went further in the playoffs last season if Matt Schuab didn't get hurt. So will this hurt the Texans loosing their number one draft pick? What about Randy Moss coming back into the NFL? He joined the 49ers this week. This could be a good thing if Randy Moss actually wants to play. We all know he only gives his all when he wants to. This will also boost Alex Smith's confidence because he now has another threat down the field. Did the Dolphins blow their chance of getting Peyton Manning by trading a player that would have been a good bargaining chip? Brandon Marshall is now a Bear this could be a great fit for him. He is reuniting with his former quarterback Jay Cutler. The Bears needed another wide receiver threat to make their offense more powerful. Megatron gets a 132 million dollar deal it's good to see Detriot knows they need him. He deserves it he is an amazing athlete. Drew Brees lost his left guard Carl Nicks to free agency but the Saints signed the Pro bowl Baltimore guard Ben Grubbs. Is this going to change anything for Drew Brees? He is used to Carl Nicks always being there. Can he go out there and trust a new guard to protect him? The Cowboys are making moves in free agency also.  They signed Kyle Orton as a backup to Tony Romo. But this has potential to lead to a fight in training camp for the starting position. The Cowboys also released Terrence Newman which i believe is a good thing he wasn't as fast as he used to be and was getting old. They signed Brodney Pool to a one year deal to play strong safety. This might add some speed to their secondary. The Eagles decided to stick with DeShawn Jackson for another five years. I hope they don't regret this move and can get his attitude under control. The Giants let go of Brandon Jacobs. He was getting a lot of money to mostly be a third down back. Giants will always find a way to make their team work. People come and go for the Giants all the time but they are still always competitors in the NFC East. Peyton Hillis found himself a new home in the Kansas City Chiefs. He will complement Jamaal Charles. It's good to have another strong back especially with what happened to Charles last season. The Jaguars are trying to fix their team by adding Chad Henne to back up Blaine Gabbert and Laurent Robinson as a down field threat. Maybe this will help open up the field for them so Maurice Jones-Drew can do his thing. So my question is why isn't Carolina making moves? They need to help Cam Newton out he needs a defense so they can win. Cam is a monster but he can not do it all alone he needs help. The scores would never be as close as they were this season if he had a defense to back him up.

Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning is one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. The way he was cut from the franchise he helped build up is unbelievable. Jim Irsay said it was not about money but if it was not about money Peyton Manning would have never been cut. Manning is the reason they were able to get a new stadium, have nationally televised games, able to host the Superbowl and why they have such a large fan base. How do you cut someone that started every single game for you for 10 years straight? His future might not be certain but one thing you can count on is that Peyton Manning wants to play so he will do everything he can to come back and play. You can not count on a rookie quarterback that has never experienced playing in the NFL to come in and be the leader of your team. Indianapolis will regret releasing Peyton Manning. They should have kept him so he could work with Andrew Luck. Who is better than Peyton Manning to work under? The way he was released was a disgrace he deserved every penny of that 28 million he was due to get on March 8th because of everything he has done for that franchise. Peyton Manning will play in the NFL again it's just up to him to find the perfect fit. I would not mind seeing him play for the Denver Broncos or the Arizona Cardinals with Larry Fitzgerald. Personally I have always wanted to see Fitzgerald and Manning together. I believe Manning will come back and still be amazing. I can't wait to see him back on the field it's just a matter of him finding his perfect fit. He is highly intelligent when it comes to football so where ever he ends up he will have success and Indy will just have to sit back and watch Manning's success.
